Preamble
These legal terms are meant as a way for Legendary Magazine™ to be protected from malicious intent. While Legendary Magazine™ retains the right to enforce these terms at all times, as a contributor, please be assured that we endeavor to maintain friendly, agreeable relationships with everyone involved in the magazine.
Statement of No Challenge
Legendary Magazine™ makes absolutely no claim of or challenge to the ownership of any Wizards of the Coast®, d20 System®, or other proprietary, non-Open Game product, trademark, or copyright.
Definitions
• "content" - generally referring but not limited to game mechanics, letters, articles, flavor text, questions, suggestions, and/or art.
• "submit" - utilizing any method by which content is intended to be delivered to Legendary Magazine™.
• "publish" - to include content in any product owned by Legendary Magazine™ or Black Sheep Gamers Guild™ that is distributed in any medium.
Terms of Agreement (Applicable to All)
Contributors agree that:
• once content has been submitted, it is immediately subject to these terms.
• they are responsible to know and understand these terms before making a submission.
• they have the legal right to submit content to Legendary Magazine™ for publication.
• they retain ownership of submitted content.
• Legendary Magazine™ retains the right to publish (and republish) contributed content at the magazine's sole discretion.
• submission does not guarantee or obligate publication.
• submission does not obligate compensation from Legendary Magazine™ or affiliates.
• contributed content may be used in whole, in part, or otherwise altered to fit the needs of the magazine.
• Legendary Magazine™ may at any time change their crediting conventions without notice.
• these terms may change without notice and it is their responsibility to remain knowledgeable about said changes.
• Legendary Magazine™ is not responsible for outside entities who steal content. This includes but is not limited to individuals pirating art images from our publications for their own uses.
• Legendary Magazine™ may edit content for grammer, spelling, flow, consistency, and mechanical balance as deemed necessary.
Contributing Artists Terms of Agreement
Artists agree that:
• art may be used in whole, in part, or otherwise altered (such as transparency, removing backgrounds, etc) to fit the design of the magazine.
• photos will be heavily edited and altered or simply used as references to fit the design of the magazine.
• Legendary Magazine™ retains the right to publish (and republish) contributed art as part of future releases and promotions.
